DEATH MIDWIFE
During my twenty years in the medical field, I’ve found that many people are starved for compassionate touch and the exchange of authentic connection. In helping others to work through fears, physical pain, uncertainty, medical procedures, and difficult diagnoses, I learned to harness my empathic gifts and offer exceptional patient care. After segueing into funeral services, spending a couple of years as an undertaker, I realized my passion and purpose in holding space for those facing confusion and heartache in the death and funerary processes. There is something so exquisitely raw and genuine when we are stripped of pleasantries and are forced to confront the surreal moments of impending death or sudden loss of a loved one. As an intuitive and Death Midwife, I am able to offer grounding strength, companionship, and delicately guide the dying, deceased, and their loved ones through planning, advocacy with funeral home and cremation services, ritual surrounding the death process, vigil, immediate care of the body, ceremony, remembrance, and the journey toward healing and closure.
My services also include working with those who have experienced loss through a sudden and/or traumatic death, individuals facing or who have experienced pregnancy miscarriage or termination, and navigating the grief over the death of beloved pets.
